How much does a website cost?
Quick answer: it depends on the size and complexity of the website.
Questions you should ask yourself
When considering prices and finding the right web designer, these are some useful questions to keep in mind:

7. What software will be used?
8. Which web designer is best suited for you?
9. Will the website be built from scratch or is it a redesign?

Some numbers…
Here are some rough guidelines for a Wordpress website designed and developed by me that you can use as a reference. Keep in mind that my prices are competitive so other agencies/freelancers could charge more.
Without knowing specifics about the project, it is hard to say exactly so the price ranges below are for the typical web design projects.
This would involve the briefing stage, consulting, mood boards, branding (logos, colours, typography etc.), wireframes, custom design and SEO friendly development of the website.
Basic website: £1,000 - £2,000 (usually 1-15 pages)
Larger, complex website: £2,000 - £4,000
For redesigns you can expect the cost to be 5-40% less depending on the amount of work needing to be done.

Maintenance
Now that you roughly know how much a website will cost. What about making sure that it performs optimally?
This is called website maintenance and it can also vary depending on how proactive you want to be to increase traffic. As the web designer would be looking after the website for you, it would be an ongoing fee. However lots of web designers, me included, can also show you the basics of what to look out for when maintaining your website so that you can do it yourself instead.
I offer 2 plans:
-Basic (£25/month)
-Advanced (£50/month)
Below you can see what each of these options include:
